Students

African young people recognise that education is the key to their future survival and KiwiLink continues to offer financial assistance to those students with ability, but unable to pay school fees. Here is a group of Primary school students who have the school fees paid on for them at around NZ$7/term. Assistance is channeled through the MM Nyoni Memorial Scholarship Fund established in memory of the late Manikidza Nyoni. Manikidza was a beneficiary of a bursary and obtained his MA in New Zealand during the 1960's returning to become the first African Headmaster of the Dadaya High School, a Regional Director of Education and Mayor of the city of Gweru before he was tragically killed in a car accident in 2000. During his lifetime he financially supported many needy students. These are secondary school students supported through the MM Nyoni Trust. A secondary bursary is around NZ$70/term. Donate now.

While most of the recipient students are at secondary school, a very small number are attending technical schools and university. Regina received a scholarship for her Business Administration University studies.
